Performances in New York, 2024

Together with Simone Westphal, Zora explored New York through a performance in a “WOMB” that she had specially created for America. It featured the American flag and an eagle with stars.

She wore this WOMB as a living sculpture, appearing in places such as the Guggenheim Museum, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Rockefeller Center. As a living sculpture, she moved through public space among people, exploring the environment.

During the performance, the WOMB gradually became fragile and eventually broke apart. Through this work, Zora questioned the boundaries of personal identity, as well as belonging to a nation and its symbolic language.
