ABOUT SECOND SKIN

Second Skin is the creation of Zora Volantes. It is an ongoing project that turns paper, colour and texture into a second skin for the artist. Each work, whether sculpture or performance, is a critical yet playful exploration of how we fit into the world around us.

 

Second Skin aims to challenge social norms and reveal unexpected perspectives, while also encouraging an embrace of individuality. In all its forms, the project focuses on the value of the individual in society and the importance of understanding, appreciating and connecting to our natural environment.

 

The visually striking works continue to open conversations about identity, diversity and acceptance – inspiring all of us to discover our own second skin and celebrate our immense value to the planet.
