PISA & VENICE
Performance in Venice and Pisa 2022-2024
For the performances in Pisa (2024) and Venice (2022), the artist created a dress made of paper as a second skin, influenced by the Venetian Carnival.
In Pisa and Venice, she spun endlessly around herself—both on Piazza San Marco and on Piazza dei Miracoli, witch was inspired by the dance of the dervishes in Konya, Turkey. The artist's face is covered with fabric, and in Venice, she additionally wore a golden lion's head mask on the back of her head. The front of the Second-Skin-dress features the face of a lion, the symbol of Venice, while the back shows a sun.
Paperdress size: 160 cm x 160 cm
Paperdress materials: glassine paper, fabric, egg tempera, cloth
